KP-TEVTA is streamlining the TVET system in alignment with requirements of the labor market through greater involvement of the private sector in various activities, plans and projects as developmental interventions. It is hoped that the private sector participation will make possible training provisions according to needs of the workplace and at the same time will improve employability of our passouts in the local market and will facilitate gainful jobs in the overseas market. We are aggressively working on revitalization of the TVET streams to ensure provision of competent skilled workers and technical supervisors through our polytechnic institutes and colleges of technology. We will appreciate full compliance of the management of all institutes and supports of the trainees in our training programs for realizing a demand driven TVET that enhances employment opportunities and lifelong development capabilities.
As new entrant to technical stream I advise you to maximize your time on the campus through active involvement in learning activities in the class and hands-on practices in the workshops and laboratories. By the time when you go out through this three years long sojourn of training, you will stand out as a useful person of society and ready to contribute to the economic growth of the country and provide enhanced level of services to our society through your attained technical capabilities. The way learning happens is quite different in this information age and please don’t restrict yourself to formal teaching and learning activities on campus. Explore a sea of information through networking technologies. I will advise to acquire or internalize, store and organize, share and disseminate and try to implement what you have learned. You will co-create knowledge, accumulate wisdom and will stand out in contributing to our society. I try my level best through my team to make possible learning environment in our TVET centers a most sought after place of engagement. Wish you all the best and let us make TVET a more happen together.
