KPTEVTA HO: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority is aiming to open a squash court in Government Technical & Vocational Centre Gulbahar, Peshawar. Squash Training will be imparted as a CBT Trade. This was stated after the meeting that was taken place between former world Champion Mr. Qamar Zaman and Managing Director KP-TEVTA Engr. Sajjad Ali Shah. Facility already in GTVC Gulbahar will be upgraded that will not only provide a facility of Extra curricular activity but also a facility to uplift the quality of squash in the country.

Export of Relevant Skilled Manpower to Destination Markets in the Gulf and other Countries


The Managing Director Amer Latif attended Meeting at Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resources Development on 27th July 2016. The meeting was attended by representatives from NAVTTC Islamabad, Punjab TEVTA, Overseas Employment Promoters Association, Bureau of Immigration Government of Pakistan and the ministry officials. Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Kiyani, Joint Secretary OP& HRD   chaired the meeting.

Issues related to export of relevantly skilled manpower to destination markets in the gulf and other countries were discussed. The Managing Director mentioned the members about KP-TEVTA adaptation of National Vocational Qualification framework; competency based training system for the currently content based time bound curriculum, accreditation of TVET Institutions in the Khyber Pakhtunkwa as part of the national initiatives. These Initiatives will help develop demand oriented skilled manpower for the target market.  KP-TEVTA has increased the training material budget to many folds   and has recruited highly skilled instructors from the market to strengthen the hands-on practice in the TVET Institutes.

All participants agreed to have a regular monthly meeting to discuss issue related to exchange of information on skilled manpower need in the gulf countries and other markets and determine ways and means to make skill development market oriented to enhance their employability, productivity and economic well-being of their families and immediate community. Language skills, work ethics, cultural sensitivities were areas recommended to be made part of the training programs for better acceptability in the labor market.

Visit to MOL Head office Islamabad for the Development and Implementation of Oi l& Gas based technologies in KP-TEVTA Institutes.

The Managing Director also visited the oil and gas company, MOL office in Islamabad and held meeting with Col. Zafar Munir and discussed issues  of possible collaboration   in the development and implementation of Oil& Gas based technologies. Both partied agreed to continue Interactions on regular basis and find avenues where MoL can be of support to skill development activities. Dr. Hazrat Hussain accompanied the Managing Director during both the meetings.
